Natural Dyeing Residence – 91.530 Le Marais, October 2024

During the fall of 2024 I got the chance to take part in a newly started project, the Natural Dyeing Residence launched by 91.530 Le Marais. My special task was to extract fabric dyes from local tinctorial plants and naturaly dye a limited edition of cushion collection called Botanica.
The cushions had been crafted in Italy from a premium fabric, the Blanc de Blanc 91.530. This textile has its particularity; it's solely composed of hemp, a fiber crop cultivated sustainably in the french countryside, on the vast lands of 91.530 Le Marais.
After my countless dyeing combinations and trials, a warm palette of four colors was collectively selected: the chestnut, the rumex, the walnut and the Rubia Tinctoria.
The Botanica collection of naturaly dyed cushions are retailed by Casa Parini, a high-end Italian homeware brand specialized in hemp bedding.
